2025年3月5日，标志着第62个学习雷锋日的到来，同时也是第26个中国青年志愿者服务日。为了继承雷锋精神，积极践行“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的志愿服务理念，国际工程学院的12名青年志愿者于3月5日前往西青区格调松间社区，开展了一项以“弘扬雷锋薪火 共筑家园新貌”为主题的社区志愿服务焕新行动。
On March 5, 2025, marking the coming of 62nd "Learn from Lei Feng Day" and the 26th Chinese Youth Volunteer Service Day, 12 youth volunteers from the ISE visited Gediaosongjian Community in Xiqing District. They conducted a volunteer service activity themed "Carrying forward the flame of Lei Feng and building new homes together" .aiming to inherit Lei Feng’s legacy and actively practice the volunteerism ethos of "dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress."
在社区工作人员的引导下，志愿者们对社区进行了深入的参观和了解。这一过程中，志愿者深刻体验了社区的文化氛围，洞察了居民的生活需求。这次的参观经历为志愿者们接下来的服务工作提供了明确的目标和方向。
Guided by community staff, the volunteers toured the community to gain a deeper understanding of its cultural atmosphere and residents’ needs. This visit provided clear goals and direction for their subsequent service efforts.
参观结束后，志愿者们迅速行动起来，协助居委会整理场地、布置现场。分工明确，各项任务井然有序地进行。
After the tour, the volunteers swiftly mobilized to assist the neighborhood committee in organizing the venue and setting up the site. Tasks were divided efficiently, ensuring smooth progress.
在图书整理区，志愿者们耐心地将书籍按照类别进行分类摆放，并对一些破旧的书籍进行了简单的修补。与此同时，其他志愿者则负责搬运花卉和摆放桌椅，为社区居民的插花学习活动精心布置现场。
In the book sorting area, volunteers patiently sorted and arranged books according to categories and made simple repairs to some worn-out books. At the same time, other volunteers were responsible for carrying flowers and arranging tables and chairs, carefully setting up the scene for the community's flower arrangement learning activities.
