为推动英语教学改革，提升国际化人才培养质量，切实提升学生跨文化交流能力，9月18日，国际工程学院党总支书记杨萍、院长黄凌翔率队赴外国语学院开展专题调研，学院副院长李光旻、谭立峰等一同前往。外国语学院党总支书记沈洪旭，副院长范国文，大学英语教学一部部长周银凤、大学英语教学二部部长袁苑参加交流座谈。双方围绕英语课程优化、师资投入、跨文化交流等议题展开深度研讨。
To promote the reform of English teaching, enhance the quality of international talent cultivation, and effectively improve students' cross-cultural communication skills, the Party General Branch Secretary Yang Ping and Dean Huang Lingxiang of ISE led a team to the School of Foreign Languages for a special research visit on September 18. Vice Deans Li Guanghao and Tan Lifeng, among others, accompanied the delegation. The School of Foreign Languages was represented by its Party General Branch Secretary Shen Hongxu, Vice Dean Fan Guowen, Head of College English Teaching Department I Zhou Yinfeng, and Head of College English Teaching Department II Yuan Yuan. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including English curriculum optimization, faculty input, and cross-cultural communication.

On behalf of the School of Foreign Languages, Party General Branch Secretary Shen Hongxu extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from ISE . He pointed out that both schools have a solid foundation in the field of "internationalization" development. This research visit would not only deepen the interaction between the two schools but also inject new vitality into their innovative development, promoting new breakthroughs in cooperation models and development paths. He stated that the School of Foreign Languages would adopt a demand-oriented approach, fully supporting ISE in providing English teaching services to strengthen the language foundation for its talent cultivation. Simultaneously, he proposed multi-dimensional innovative ideas for English teaching reform, suggesting that by establishing a tiered training system and cultivating interdisciplinary talents, more diverse approaches for teaching reform could be provided.

Dean Huang Lingxiang of ISE expressed thanks to the School of Foreign Languages for its assistance in enhancing students' English proficiency and supporting overseas English test preparation, particularly in the targeted design of course content and adjustments to class hours. He stated the hope that the School of Foreign Languages could provide more adaptive support plans regarding course scheduling, and that both sides would work hand-in-hand to advance teaching reform. Furthermore, he sincerely welcomed faculty and students from the School of Foreign Languages to actively participate in roles such as teaching assistants, tutorial assistants, and class advisors within ISE , aiming to achieve efficient sharing of resources and complementary advantages through deep collaboration.

This research meeting laid a solid language foundation for cultivating high-quality talents with international vision and competitiveness. In the future, the two schools will continue to deepen exchanges, join forces to build an educational community, and collaboratively cultivate internationalized, interdisciplinary engineering talents who possess cross-cultural communication skills, can tell the "China story" and the "Tianjin Chengjian University story" well, and disseminate excellent Chinese culture.
