赋能学生发展,助力合作办学提质 | 国际工程学院召开大学英语教学改革专题会

12月16日,国际工程学院在现教1109会议室召开大学英语教学改革专题会聚焦学生语言能力培养与应试需求优化英语教学模式。教务处处长赵国敏、副处长王玉良、苑宏英,外国语学院副院长范国文及教师代表陈振鹏、田晴、周银凤受邀参会,国际工程学院院长黄凌翔主持会议,副院长李光旻、教学办孙艺华参加。


On 16 December, ISE convened a special meeting on university English teaching reform in Conference Room 1109 of the Modern Teaching Building. The session focused on enhancing students' language proficiency while addressing examination requirements, with the aim of optimising English teaching methodologies. Invited attendees included Zhao Guomin, Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Deputy Directors Wang Yuliang and Yuan Hongying; Fan Guowen, Deputy Dean of the School of Foreign Languages; and faculty representatives Chen Zhenpeng, Tian Qing, and Zhou Yinfeng. The meeting was chaired by Huang Lingxiang, Dean of the ISE, with participation from Deputy Dean Li Guangmin and Sun Yihua from the Teaching Office.

黄凌翔院长在会议开始强调,大学英语教学改革是学院顺应人才培养新需求、提升学生核心竞争力的关键举措。此次改革不仅能针对性强化学生英语综合应用与应试能力,更能为合作办学项目的持续稳定发展筑牢基础,为学生海外深造、未来职业发展拓宽路径,切实赋能学生全面成长。


At the outset of the meeting, Dean Huang Lingxiang emphasised that the reform of ISE English teaching represents a pivotal initiative for the faculty to align with evolving demands in talent cultivation and enhance students' core competitiveness. This reform will not only strengthen students' comprehensive English application and examination skills in a targeted manner, but also lay a solid foundation for the sustained and stable development of cooperative education programmes. It will broaden pathways for students pursuing further studies abroad and future career advancement, thereby effectively empowering their holistic growth.

随后,李光旻副院长汇报了《国际工程学院英语学习推进方案》核心内容。方案聚焦学生英语能力提升与海外升学需求,一方面优化大学英语课程体系,强化雅思相关能力训练,实现通用英语与应试技能的有机结合;另一方面建立科学的学习激励机制,为英语水平达标的学生提供课程免修等支持,充分调动学习积极性。两项举措相辅相成,助力学生高效提升英语能力为合作办学人才培养目标的实现提供有力支撑


Subsequently, Vice Dean Li Guangmin presented the core elements of the English Learning Advancement Programme for ISE. The programme focuses on enhancing students' English proficiency and meeting overseas study requirements. On one hand, it optimises the university English curriculum system, reinforcing IELTS-related skills training to achieve an organic integration of general English and test-taking abilities. On the other hand, it establishes a scientific learning incentive mechanism, offering support such as course exemptions for students who meet English proficiency standards, thereby fully stimulating learning motivation. These two complementary measures will empower students to enhance their English proficiency efficiently, thereby providing robust support for achieving the talent development objectives of the collaborative education programme.

汇报后,参会领导与教师围绕方案展开务实研讨,就课程衔接、资源调配、流程规范等提出优化建议。黄凌翔院长在总结中表示,学院将吸纳各方意见完善方案,加快推进教学改革落地,以高质量英语教学赋能合作办学提质增效,为学生成长成才保驾护航


Following the presentation, attending leaders and faculty engaged in a pragmatic discussion centred on the proposal, offering suggestions for optimisation regarding curriculum alignment, resource allocation, and procedural standardisation. In his concluding remarks, Dean Huang Lingxiang stated that ISE would incorporate all feedback to refine the plan, accelerate the implementation of teaching reforms, and empower the enhancement of cooperative education through high-quality English instruction, thereby safeguarding students' growth and development.

此次专题会明确了改革核心方向,凝聚了校院协同合力,将推动大学英语教学与学生发展合作办学需求深度契合为人才培养质量提升注入新动力


This thematic meeting has clarified the core direction of reform and consolidated the collaborative efforts between the university and its constituent colleges. It will drive the deep integration of university English teaching with student development and the requirements of cooperative education, thereby injecting fresh impetus into enhancing the quality of talent cultivation.
