Katarzyna Łakomy, Associate Professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture,Cracow University of Technology. Architect and landscape architect, specializing inarchitectural/urban planning history and monument conservation. Member of SPAK,SHS and PAN Committee, Vice-Director of the Landscape Architecture Program andmember of the Academic Committee of ISE at Tianjin Chengjian University.

This lecture traces the evolution of garden art in Poland from its historical origins to thepresent, examining key characteristics, representative examples, and the current state ofpreservation of historic gardens. It also discusses the main threats they face,conservation models and guidelines used in Poland, and new directions for heritageprotection in response to challenges like climate change
