为进一步深化国际教育理念，帮助学生全面了解中波合作办学项目，提升跨文化交流能力与全球胜任力，近日，国际工程学院成功举办“探索文化交流，拓展国际视野”青年沙龙。国际工程学院党总支副书记孔伟、学生工作办公室主任尹建杰、研究生秘书丁桂杰及各年级研究生代表共同参加本次活动。
To further promote the philosophy of international education, help students gain a comprehensive understanding of the Sino-Polish joint education programme, and enhance their intercultural communication skills and global competence, the ISE recently successfully hosted a youth salon entitled ‘Exploring Cultural Exchange and Broadening International Horizons’. Kong Wei, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Branch; Yin Jianjie, Director of the Student Affairs Office; Ding Guijie, Postgraduate Secretary; and representatives of postgraduate students from all years attended the event.
活动伊始，学院党总支副书记孔伟致辞。他从波兰合作院校BUT（比亚威斯托克工业大学）和CUT（克拉科夫工业大学）的办学历史、学科优势及国际声誉切入，详细解读了学院中波联合培养项目的特色与优势。孔书记指出，出国留学不仅是学术能力的提升，更是视野格局的拓展，希望同学们珍惜平台机遇，主动融入跨文化环境，在感受欧洲城市风貌与人文底蕴的同时，讲好中国故事、传播中国文化。他强调，学院将持续优化国际化育人体系，为学子搭建通往世界的桥梁，助力每一位学生在多元文化交融中成长为具有家国情怀与国际视野的卓越工程人才。
At the start of the event, Kong Wei, Deputy Secretary of the ISE’s Party Branch, delivered an opening address. Beginning with the educational history, academic strengths and international reputation of the partner institutions in Poland—BUT (Bialystok University of Technology) and CUT (Cracow University of Technology)—he provided a detailed explanation of the distinctive features and advantages of the ISE’s Sino-Polish joint training programme. Secretary Kong pointed out that studying abroad is not only about enhancing academic capabilities but also about broadening one’s horizons and perspective. He expressed his hope that students would cherish this opportunity, actively integrate into the cross-cultural environment, and, whilst experiencing the charm and cultural heritage of European cities, effectively tell China’s story and promote Chinese culture. He emphasised that the School would continue to optimise its international education system, building bridges to the world for students and helping each one to grow, amidst the fusion of diverse cultures, into outstanding engineering professionals with a sense of national pride and a global outlook.
研究生秘书丁桂杰老师围绕中波课程学习、学术规范及生活适应等主题进行专题讲解。她结合往届学生赴波学习经验，梳理了波方课程设置、考核方式及学分认定要点，提醒同学们提前做好语言与专业准备，同时就跨文化学术沟通技巧、科研合作中的文化差异等话题与在场学生展开互动。
Ms Ding Guijie, the postgraduate secretary, then gave a presentation on topics including coursework in Poland, academic standards and settling into life there. Drawing on the experiences of previous students who had studied in Poland, she outlined the Polish curriculum, assessment methods and key points regarding credit recognition. She advised students to prepare in advance in terms of language skills and subject knowledge, and engaged with those present on topics such as cross-cultural academic communication skills and cultural differences in research collaboration.
在经验分享环节，2024级建筑专业研究生李汶锦、2024级资源与环境专业研究生张国洋先后结合自身赴波兰学习经历，从课程学习、学术交流、文化体验等维度进行生动分享。李汶锦重点介绍了波方设计类课程的实践导向与创新思维培养，分享了如何在异国课堂中主动参与研讨、拓展学术视野的实用方法。张国洋则从跨文化适应角度出发，讲述了与波兰师生合作完成课题的心得体会，鼓励同学们在交流互鉴中实现自我提升。
During the experience-sharing session, Li Wenjin, a 2024 postgraduate student in Architecture, and Zhang Guoyang, a 2024 postgraduate student in Resources and Environment, took turns to give vivid accounts of their study experiences in Poland, covering aspects such as coursework, academic exchange and cultural immersion. Li Wenjin highlighted the practical focus and cultivation of innovative thinking in Polish design courses, sharing practical methods on how to actively participate in seminars and broaden one’s academic horizons in a foreign classroom. Zhang Guoyang, approaching the topic from the perspective of cross-cultural adaptation, recounted his experiences of collaborating with Polish lecturers and students on research projects, encouraging fellow students to achieve personal growth through mutual exchange and learning.
本次沙龙通过政策解读、经验分享与互动交流，帮助研究生进一步明晰了出国留学的路径规划与成长方向，有效激发了同学们参与国际交流的热情。今后，国际工程学院将持续打造“国工青年沙龙”品牌活动，不断丰富跨文化交流载体，为培养具有全球竞争力的国际化复合型工程人才奠定坚实基础。
Through policy briefings, experience-sharing sessions and interactive discussions, this salon helped postgraduate students gain a clearer understanding of their study abroad pathways and career development, whilst effectively inspiring their enthusiasm for participating in international exchanges. Moving forward, the ISE will continue to develop the ISE Youth Salon’ as a flagship event, constantly expanding the scope of cross-cultural exchange initiatives to lay a solid foundation for cultivating globally competitive, internationally-minded, and multi-skilled engineering professionals.
