为深化国际化人才培养战略，助力学子突破海外名校申请“最后一公里”，4月21日中午，国际工程学院"星途逐梦"留学服务指导中心留学系列讲座第二讲在现代教育中心1012顺利举行。此次讲座面向国际工程学院和建筑学院学生，专门针对留学作品集内容展开深入讲解，吸引了众多有留学意向的同学到场聆听。

To deepen the international talent cultivation strategy and help students break through the "last mile" of applying to prestigious overseas universities, on April 21st at noon, the second lecture of the "Stellar Path to Dreams" Study Abroad Services and Guidance Center of the International School of Engineering was successfully held in Room 1012 of the Modern Education Center. This lecture was aimed at students from the International School of Engineering and the School of Architecture, providing in-depth explanations on the content of the profolio for studying abroads. It attracted many students with the intention of studying abroad to attend and listen. 

讲座伊始，副院长李光旻以“破局与创新”为主题致辞。他指出，海外顶尖院校对作品集的考察已从“技术呈现”转向“思维表达”，“作品集不仅是设计能力的展示窗口，更是个人学术视野与跨文化理解力的试金石”。他希望同学们能够重视此次讲座，认真学习专家分享的经验和知识，为自己的留学申请做好充分准备，在未来的学术和职业道路上迈出坚实的一步。

At the beginning of the lecture, Vice President Li Guangmin delivered a speech on the theme of "Breaking the Deadlock and Innovation". He pointed out that top overseas universities have shifted their assessment of portfolios from "technical presentation" to "expression of thinking". "A portfolio is not only a window to showcase design capabilities, but also a touchstone for an individual's academic vision and cross-cultural understanding." He hopes that the students can attach great importance to this lecture, study the experience and knowledge shared by the experts carefully, make full preparations for their applications to study abroad, and take a solid step forward on their future academic and career paths.

在专题分享环节，两位深耕留学指导与设计教育领域的校外专家带来“硬核”内容。梅子老师围绕 "建筑与景观的未来蓝图：升学规划与职业方向全面解读" 这一主题，从建筑与景观设计行业的发展趋势入手，分析了不同国家和地区在该领域的教育特点和优势。他结合自身丰富的行业经验，详细阐述了在留学申请中，如何根据目标院校的要求和自身的专业特点，打造出具有竞争力的作品集。她强调，作品集不仅要展示学生的专业技能，更要体现学生的创新思维和对行业的独特见解。

During the special topic sharing session, two off-campus experts who have been deeply involved in the fields of study abroad guidance and design education delivered "hardcore" content. Teacher Mei Zi, centering on the theme of "The Future Blueprint of Architecture and Landscape: A Comprehensive Interpretation of Academic Planning and Career Directions", started from the development trends of the architecture and landscape design industry and analyzed the educational characteristics and advantages of different countries and regions in this field. Drawing on his rich industry experience, he elaborated in detail on how to create a competitive portfolio in the application for studying abroad based on the requirements of the target university and the characteristics of one's own major. She emphasized that the portfolio should not only showcase students' professional skills, but also reflect their innovative thinking and unique insights into the industry.

韩旭老师则聚焦于 "竞赛的准备及作用"，为同学们分享了参加学科竞赛对留学申请的重要意义。他从竞赛的选择、准备过程、参赛技巧等方面进行了详细讲解，结合实际案例分析了竞赛成果在留学作品集中的呈现方式。他指出，参加高水平的学科竞赛不仅能够提升学生的专业能力和综合素质，还能为留学申请增添亮点，提高申请成功率。

Teacher Han Xu focused on "the preparation and role of competitions", sharing with the students the significant meaning of participating in subject competitions for study abroad applications. He gave a detailed explanation from aspects such as the selection of the competition, the preparation process, and the competition skills, and analyzed the presentation of the competition results in the the profolio for studying abroad by combining practical cases. He pointed out that participating in high-level subject competitions can not only enhance students' professional abilities and comprehensive qualities, but also add highlights to their applications for studying abroad and increase the success rate of applications.

在互动环节，同学们积极提问，两位专家针对同学们在留学作品集准备过程中遇到的具体问题进行了耐心解答，现场气氛热烈。

During the interactive session, students actively raised questions. The two experts patiently answered the specific problems that students encountered during the preparation of their the profolio for studying abroads. The atmosphere on the spot was very lively.

The successful holding of the second lecture of this series of study abroad lectures has provided valuable experience and guidance for students from the International School of Engineering and the School of Architecture who have the intention to study abroad, helping them to have a clearer understanding of the key points and directions for preparing a the profolio for studying abroad.
