On October 8, 2025, the Old Town campus in Krakow, Poland, was filled with a warm autumn atmosphere. Vice Dean Li Guangmin of ISE, accompanied by faculty member Jing Yifan, made a special visit to this location. They held a cordial discussion with representatives of graduate and undergraduate students studying in Poland, gaining an in-depth understanding of the students' recent academic and daily lives while conveying the college's profound care and earnest expectations.
座谈伊始，李光旻副院长围绕海外求学的核心要义与同学们展开交流。"扩展视野，学好知识"，李院长叮嘱道。针对语言学习这一关键课题，他鼓励同学们充分利用国际化环境优势，主动突破"中文圈"舒适区，争取在一年的留学时光中将语言能力提升到新维度。
At the outset of the discussion, Vice Dean Li Guangmin engaged with students on the core principles of studying abroad. “Expand your horizons and master your knowledge,” he advised. Addressing the critical topic of language learning, he encouraged students to fully leverage the advantages of an international environment, proactively break out of their “Chinese-speaking comfort zone,” and strive to elevate their language proficiency to new heights during their year abroad.
交流中，李光旻副院长和景一帆老师对同学们的生活状况给予了细致入微的关怀，逐一询问住宿供暖、饮食适应等情况。当得知同学们大多已学会自己做饭，附近的超市能便捷购买蔬菜、大米等食材时，李院长欣慰地表示："自己做饭既能适应口味，也是一种成长锻炼。"
During the exchange, Vice Dean Li Guangmin and Professor Jing Yifan showed meticulous care for the students' living conditions, inquiring individually about their accommodation heating and dietary adaptation. Upon learning that most students had already mastered cooking for themselves and could conveniently purchase vegetables, rice, and other ingredients at nearby supermarkets, Dean Li remarked with satisfaction: “Cooking for yourself not only allows you to tailor meals to your taste but also serves as valuable practice for personal growth.”
同学们则兴奋地分享了留学感受，建筑一班的同学谈到："这边的建筑很有特色，国际化的环境让人开阔眼界，感觉特别好。"园林专业的同学也提及，来到波兰两周多来，已适应当地环境，充分感受到波兰的风土人情。
The students excitedly shared their study abroad experiences. A student from the Architecture Class remarked, “The architecture here is truly distinctive. The international environment broadens one's horizons and feels exceptionally rewarding.” A student from the Landscape Architecture program also mentioned that after more than two weeks in Poland, they had adapted to the local environment and fully experienced the country's culture and customs.
针对同学们提出的课程问题，景一帆老师结合建筑类专业特点给予逐一回应。李院长同时为同学们的长远发展支招，鼓励学生主动与当地教授建立深度联系，"希望教授们不仅是授课老师，更能成为你们人生路上的指导者"。
In response to students' questions about the curriculum, Teacher Jing Yifan addressed each query individually, taking into account the unique characteristics of architecture programs. Dean Li also offered advice for students' long-term development, encouraging them to proactively build deep connections with local professors. “I hope these professors will not only be your instructors but also become mentors guiding you on your life journey,” he said.
座谈尾声，李光旻副院长表示希望能够与同学们持续进行密切的交流，共同丰富在波同学的课余生活。他勉励同学们以开放的心态体验不同文化，在感受异国建筑风格、饮食文化的过程中拓宽视野，成长为具有国际视野的优秀人才。
At the conclusion of the discussion, Vice Dean Li Guangmin expressed his hope to maintain close communication with the students and jointly enrich their extracurricular activities at the university. He encouraged them to embrace different cultures with an open mind, broaden their horizons by experiencing foreign architectural styles and culinary traditions, and grow into outstanding talents with a global perspective.

Following the student forum, Vice Dean Li Guangmin met with Ms. Katarzyna Baron-Lisiakiewicz, Director of the International Relations Office at AGH University of Science and Technology. During the exchange, both parties reached significant consensus on further deepening cooperation and clarified specific directions for future collaboration. This initiative will inject new momentum into the future development of the ISE, effectively promoting in-depth collaboration between the two universities in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, and faculty-student exchanges, while continuously expanding the breadth and depth of high-quality international cooperation. Vice Dean Li Guangmin presented Katarzyna with a gift rich in traditional Chinese cultural charm. Both sides took a friendly group photo, capturing this moment of goodwill. After the meeting, Vice Dean Li Guangmin posed for a commemorative photo with all faculty and staff members of the International Relations Office at AGH University of Science and Technology.

This symposium allowed students studying abroad in Poland to deeply feel the warmth and support from the college. Students unanimously expressed their commitment to dedicating themselves to their studies in Poland, actively engaging in academic exchanges, and living up to the college's expectations. This outreach initiative not only strengthened communication and connections between the college and its overseas students but also underscored the institution's strong emphasis on cultivating international talent. It has laid a solid foundation for further refining the support mechanisms for overseas study programs.
