To help the 2026‑level postgraduate freshmen clarify the training requirements for their postgraduate studies and foster a rigorous research attitude and awareness of academic integrity, the International Engineering College recently held an orientation and major introduction meeting for the 2026‑level postgraduate students. Vice Dean Tan Lifeng, directors and deputy directors of each academic department, postgraduate secretaries, and all 2026‑level postgraduate students attended the meeting.

谭立峰副院长作入学教育总体指导讲话，代表学院对 2026 级研究生加入国际工程学院表示热烈欢迎，并围绕交流沟通、科研、英语学习、学业规范、竞赛实践、生活安全六个方面对全体新生提出具体要求。他鼓励新生主动把握学习机遇，合理规划研究生阶段科研工作，高度重视语言能力提升，树立诚信治学的态度，积极参加学科竞赛，以赛促学；同时提醒新生重视人身与财产安全，坚持规律作息，维护身心健康，快速完成角色转变，适应研究生学习生活。
Vice Dean Tan Lifeng delivered an overall guiding speech for postgraduate orientation. On behalf of the college, he extended a warm welcome to all 2026-grade postgraduate students joining the International Engineering College. He put forward specific requirements for the new students from six perspectives: communication, scientific research, English learning, academic norms, competition practice, and life safety.He encouraged the freshmen to actively seize learning opportunities, make reasonable plans for their scientific research during postgraduate studies, attach great importance to the improvement of language proficiency, uphold the attitude of integrity in academic research, and actively participate in discipline competitions to promote learning through practice. Meanwhile, he reminded the new students to pay attention to personal and property safety, maintain a regular schedule, safeguard physical and mental health, quickly complete role transformation, and adapt to postgraduate study and life.
全民解读培养方案，厘清学业路径

各专业系主任依次开展专业介绍与人才培养方案专题解读。各位系主任围绕本专业培养目标、课程设置、实践环节、开题、中期考核、学位论文、毕业与学位授予条件等核心内容进行细致讲解，梳理研究生在读期间各个关键时间节点，帮助新生读懂吃透培养方案，理清学业任务，明确学习路径，提前做好选课与科研规划。
Directors of each academic department delivered successive presentations on their respective majors and gave special interpretations of talent‑training programmes. Focusing on core elements including training objectives, curriculum arrangement, practical sessions, proposal defence, mid‑term assessment, dissertation writing, as well as graduation and degree‑award requirements, the directors gave detailed explanations. They sorted out key time nodes throughout postgraduate studies, helping freshmen fully understand the talent‑training programmes, clarify academic tasks, define learning pathways, and make advance plans for course selection and scientific research.
筑牢学术底线，强化诚信教育

各系主任结合学校相关管理规定，围绕学术不端开展警示教育。通过典型案例剖析，讲解抄袭剽窃、数据篡改、不当署名、一稿多投等学术不端行为的界定标准、表现形式及严重后果，强调学术诚信是科研工作的底线与生命线，学术不端实行终身追责。提醒全体新生在文献引用、论文写作、成果发表全过程严守规范，扣好科研生涯 "第一粒扣子"，做到知敬畏、守底线，自觉维护风清气正的学术环境。
In accordance with relevant university regulations, department directors conducted warning education on academic misconduct. By analyzing typical cases, they illustrated the definition, manifestations and severe consequences of academic irregularities, including plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship, and duplicate submission. They emphasized that academic integrity is the bottom line and lifeline of scientific research, and that academic misconduct is subject to lifelong accountability.The directors reminded all new students to strictly abide by academic norms throughout literature citation, thesis writing and academic publication processes. They urged students to “fasten the first button” of their research career, maintain awe of academic disciplines, uphold fundamental academic principles, and consciously preserve a sound and upright academic atmosphere.
本次入学教育暨专业介绍会，使新生全面了解了学院人才培养体系，进一步强化了学术规范意识，解答了新生在学业规划上的诸多困惑。下一步，学院将持续把学术道德教育贯穿研究生培养全过程，全方位做好研究生培养各环节工作，助力学生成长成才。
This orientation and major introduction meeting enabled new postgraduate students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the college’s talent training system, further strengthen their awareness of academic norms, and resolve numerous confusions regarding academic planning.Going forward, the college will continuously integrate academic ethics education throughout the entire postgraduate training process, fully optimize every link of postgraduate cultivation, and support students in achieving personal and academic growth.
